When Zorro - The Musical opened, I adapted a series of chairs for the show. Within the set of chairs that needed regular maintenance, was a 'slapstick' seated chair (which needed to make an exaggerated sound when hit with a wooden stick) and a breakable chair.
As with the chairs for Billy Elliot, the whole series needed exactly the same paint finish, regardless of who painted them, or whether a new batch of paint needed to be mixed.
